April 9

For my family and friends in the South, I know this isn’t such a huge deal, but we continue to be amazed here in New England by all of the flowers and trees blooming in a month we usually think of as drab, drizzly, and dreary. Typically by the end of April, we have some bright sunny days here and there where the temperatures warm up to the 50s. We celebrate by NOT wearing our fleece and down, maybe even donning a short-sleeve shirt just to show our optimism. But this year, we have hardly put on our long-sleeve shirts. It’s all very strange and the topic of many conversations around here.
