winter's end

Winter never seemed to arrive in New England, and now it appears to have left. There was very little snow left in the White Mountains at the lower elevations. It rained for most of our two days there. It was cold enough, though, that ice formed on trees, especially in the Franconia Notch area near Canon Mountain Ski Resort and the site of the Rock Previously Known as the Old Man in the Mountain.
